While at Moora war declared. Joined AIF (10 Light Horse), fought at Gallipoli, joined AM Corp, went to France. Returned to Australia, took up farming at Shackelton and later at Salmon Gums. Married Isabel Emma Matters; Jocelyn, Adrienne and Peter born. Died suddenly (cause unknown).
