Somersetshire was the first all migrant ship to leave England after the war. Sailed 12/11/1948, due to engine breakdown was overtaken by sister ship who received civic reception complete with band on arrival in Fremantle meant for us!!

My mother,father and 3 older siblings were on this voyage, but went on to Brisbane arriving a week later. I would love some information if possible on the social "goings on" during the journey. regards, Mary Browne (nee Vincent)
