Carmelo worked in Southern Cross for two years & saved enough money to buy property in Badgerup Rd, Wanneroo. Supplied vegetables to the army in World War II. Married Antonina Mola in 1941 & raised seven children. Could read novels & memorise stories in great detail, often telling stories to his family.
