After 5 years as a Prisoner of War, Roman worked for the British Army until 1949 in Germany & then migrated to Australia. After 2 years as a welder in Northam, he worked for Main Roads & later at Wittenoom. He leaves 1 son & three grandsons. During his life he owned several trucks and worked as a driver and mechanic.
