Salvatore's wife Giovannina and children Sebastian & Mariella stayed back while he left for Australia. He arrived on the 26/1/1957 and worked in Fitzroy Crossing and then in 1959 when Giovannina and the children joined him, he settled in North Perth. In 1962 they had another daughter, Daniella.
