Carmelo first began wood cutting in the South West and then became an Ice Manufacturer/Fish Retailer in Geraldton. He married Vincenza Bombara in 1935 and had three children, Vincent, Joseph and Frances. He was a very kind and generous man who devoted a lot of time to his family and Rotary.

I'm 65 years old and my family wente to Capo d'Orlando or Naso to Algeria; we live in France since 1961.
Have you some informations about my family : I know that some brothers came to America, Australia, Africa.
I think that the Miragliotta's name is issued from one family but I'm not sure.

Hi Damien my grandmother’s maiden name was Miragliotta and her father married a French woman who I’m named after. She was born in Naso, Cona Miragliotta and was promised to Carmelo Micale who was also born in Naso, and her father was in Algeria for some time though I’m not sure if his family went with him. My great grandmother died quite young and my great grandfather remarried and had one more child from that union. Many of my relatives are still in Naso, some went to America and several ended up in Fremantle, Western Australia. Most of my grandmothers family ended up there - at least two brothers and four sisters. The French connection is interesting. I’m not sure if we’re related- it seems there are a few Miragliottas from Naso/Capo D’Orlando - well three that I could see from a google search.
