Read their story
During the Greek civil war 1946-1949 we were evacuated to the Czech Republic. After the war we could not return to our homeland because of our Macedonian origin. We came to Australia as it offered freedom and to rejoin Grand-father Lazo and father Ilija who had arrived here in 1929 and 1938.
