As an orphan almost 12 years of age he came to Western Australia under the Kingsley Fairbridge Emigration Scheme. In 1937 he married Laura Norrish in Kojonup. Army service during WW2. Father of seven, grandfather of 21, great grandfather of 21. Discovered family facts of origin when 73 years old.
