Reverend David Meadowcroft became East Melbourne Congregational Minister. His daughter, my grandmother, Ruth, married Joseph Macnaughtan in Melbourne. grandmother

Rev. Meadowcroft married one of my Geelong family ancestors on 15 July 1891 but the newspaper notices at the time, the Argus and the Age, do not specify a location.
As the notices were in the newspapers some 45 days after the marriage there may have been a private reason for doing so.
Are you able to tell me where your ancestor was a clergyman in July 1891.
I note he left Perth (where he arrived at in 1868 from India) in 1875 and further that he went to New Zealand some time later. However, even though you have the year of his death in NZ as 1914, his name appears as a Congregational clergyman in a Victorian Government Gazette, No. 143, page 4798, in 1917.
Any relevant information you can provide would greatly assist me. I would just like to know where Rev. Meadowcroft carried out the marriage ceremony between my Noble ancestor, Frederick Warner Noble and Catherine (Katie) Elizabeth Beattoun in July 1891. I suspect it was in East Melbourne or nearby. The Reverend's address in 1917 was 17 Simpson Street, East Melbourne.
