Married Jean Alice Sutherland Mofflin OAM in Singapore. Employed as a branch manager for Singapore Cold Storage. Taken prisoner by the Japanese on the fall of Singapore in 1942. Initially imprisoned in Changi Prison and then served in excess of 3 years on Burma Railroad until liberated in late 1945.
