My dad was already in WA when our family of 5 arrived in Albany 1926. Our mother died in Scotland in 1924. My eldest sister Agnes (Nessie) (18) brought my 2 brothers, sister & self on her own. We all travelled by train to Perth to purchase household goods then by train to Manjimup where dad was cutting railway sleepers.
