Orphaned at age 6. Brought up in convent and orphanage in Dublin. Telegram boy at 14. Joined Palestine Police 1945. Migrated December 1949 to work in gold mines in Kalgoorlie. Married Boulder girl. Graduated from WASM as Mining Engineer in 1964. Fathered six children. Retired to Perth, 1991.
