Youngest son of Stephen (dec 1931) and Margaret (Dec 1933 - nee Sheridan). Siblings - Patrick, John, Stephen, Peter and Annie. Brought up in orphanages in Ireland - Stillorgan until 1936, then St Xaviour's until 1943. Moved to Paisley, Scotland. National service 1947 - 1949. Joined Patrick, Peter and Annie in Australia.
