Les McGready served with the British 10th Army during WWII, settling in Singapore in 1945. He served there as a Police Officer in the Harbour Board Police Force reaching 2IC before migrating with his family to Perth 1962. With him were his wife Helene and two children, Jeremy and Joanne.
