After WW2 army service John worked in Kalgoorlie and statewide power stations. Married Therese Mc Lernon (1947). They had 9 children. Suzanne 14.1.1948, James 22.9.1949, Maureen 12.1.1951, Kathleen 28.11.1952, John 26.6.1954, Peter 12.6.1957, Francis 10.6.1960, Kevin 15.6.1963, Paul.7.1964. Family lived in Boulder, Fremantle, Bumbury, Wickham, Cottesloe and retired to Claremont.
