John and Marjorie McFarlane arrived in Fremantle from the Isle of Wight on their 23rd Wedding Anniversary with seven of their nine children. Two older children had previously migrated to Canada, although one later settled in Australia. John and Marjorie's many descendants have made a useful contribution to Australian life.
