Immigrated with her parents and grandfather at the age of 14. Initially stayed in a guest house in Kalamunda until the purchase of the orchard (900 fruit trees). Went to St. Brigid's, Midland. Married at 18 to Zygmunt Slowinski and had 4 children (all girls).
