The family arrived Christmas week and spent Christmas at Commonwealth Hostel, Graylands WA before moving to Mt Hawthorn. Gordon was 3 yrs old and Iain 6 months. Peter was very involved in Scottish Dancing and taught dancing in the migrant hostel. The family moved to the Eastern Goldfields where Peter was Second Engineer in the Pumping Station No.8 at Bulla Bulla.
