Yvonne emigrated age 14 with her parents and brother. Her father William worked for a cement company who were expanding to W.A and required key workers to form a local subsidiary,Cockburn cement. She is now know as Yvonne Baker (previously Yvonne Piscitelli) and has 3 daughters and 2 step-daughters.
