  • William and Lucy were my great great great grandparents. They arrived with a four-year old son and had eleven more children in WA. Their direct descendents still farm parts of the farm they purchased near Northam in 1871.

  • William and Lucy were also my great, great, great grandparents - through their eldest son, Newland's, line. I'd be interested to know where that farm purchased in 1871, is situated, and the name of my distant relatives who now own it. Fascinated by those intrepid pioneers and very thankful that they and our other ancestors sacrificed so much so that we could now have the privilege of living here in WA.

  • William and Lucy are also my great great great grandparents through his son John (John Martin Branch) .Interestingly Williams fathers name was John (1774-1851). William worked on Oakover Farm in Middle Swan for Samuel Moore before leasing in the early 1850’s Woodley Farm (later Oakover)
