The family's arrival was preceded by the migration of Jessie's mother and siblings who provided initial support for the young family. Lived in Trayning, Bunbury, Northam, Porphyry and Kalgoorlie, during the recession and WWII, before settling in Perth. Two more children were born in Australia: Patricia and Graham David John.
