Initially a timber feller at Wellington Mills. During WW1,Trooper 675, 10th Light Horse. Married Connie Knoble in 1923 and had three children Judy, Jack and Wendy. Served in the RAAF during WW2. He was a keen gardener and loved his chooks. Wally died in 1957 after a long illness.
