Vitezslav Markovic came to WA 6 months prior to family to establish a base. Jirina Markovic arrived with two young children. Within 3 years of arriving they had settled in the Carlisle/Kewdale area. 3 further children being born in Australia over the next 6 years. Currently have 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Georgina Reid, Renata Suckling, Lynette Hocken (deceased) , Alexander Markovic.

I suspect he was the builder of my parents' home in Redcliffe in 1957. I've seen him listed in Facebook as an "artist and builder", which fits - when he finished the house, he signed his name over the fireplace in the lounge room (as an artist would). It annoyed my mother, but even at a young age then, I couldn't see what the fuss was about!
