Michael (Mike) was born in Dublin; Roman Catholic; travelled to Northern Rhodesia as a baby; lived in Northern Rhodesia/Zambia 1957-68; educated in Lusaka & Ndola & Perth; BSc (Hons) Murdoch Uni; partner to Jeanette Mannion (Ostberge) until she died tragically in 2002; step father to Dwane & Craig; lived in Jabiru, Geraldton, Broome, Darwin, Bundaberg, Enneaba & Perth; specialist in marine biology and conservation; generous friend, bundle of fun, car fanatic, loves all animals, supportive and loving uncle, strong family man.
