George did his Mechanical Apprenticeship in London and came to Albany for health reasons and better opportunities. He left the next day for Perth. Started work carting water and mail to Kalgoorlie. Returned later to Albany to run early bus service driving a Clement Talbot on a service between Albany and Middleton Beach. Later years opened first Motor Garage and Agencies for Studebaker Cars, Motor Cycles and Motor Repairs to few early model cars. Dad died in 1972 and is buried in Albany Cemetery.
