Teodor & Maria were taken to work in Germany after the invasion of Poland. They married & had two sons, Roman & Steven. Arriving in Fremantle on 23/8/1949 as refugees, they settled in Northam, becoming Australian citizens in 1949. They were actively involved with the Ukranian community.
