After working for a local farmer for a while Stanley and Phyl leased a nearby property before, in 1924, buying 'Mylor' halfway between Nannup and Balingup. He was a successful farmer winning a number of Farming Awards. In partnership with his son from the 1950's and retired to Busselton in 1980 and later to Perth.
