Arrived on the Travancore into Albany on 13/01/1853. Nominated passage paid by Edwin Rose of "Parkfield", Australind. Came to work as Sadler for Rose for four years. Philip John Magowan was accompanied by Margaret Maria Rowland and her sister Mary Rowland. Philip married Margaret on 3/4/1854. Mary married Brockman (Bunbury).
