With brothers, John and Duncan, became major pastoralist between Perth and Geraldton. Pioneered Victoria Plains and was first Chairman of Road Board there. Major Horse Breeder for Indian Army and Indian Ocean Rim, and of Clydesdales and Thoroughbreds.
