Read their story

Eugenio (Jim) and Claudia (Dina) Lombardo (nee Aquilini) initially lived in South Fremantle, where they owned a fish and chip shop. They moved in 1956, to open a general store opposite the Leopold Hotel (Palmyra). This expanded in later years to a supermarket and butcher shop, which they operated until retirement in 1988. In the intervening years Jim and Dina built a family home in East Fremantle where they raised their two daughters Marie and Danida and enjoyed the company of their grandchildren Jessica, James and Jonathon.
