Read their story
Gert and Corrie Loermans arrived with their three sons. Gert worked on the construction of Albany Port and was employed on the Albany Tugs until his retirement. Their eldest son (John) joined the Australian Navy and was a crew member of the first O Class submarine to be brought to Australia.
