  • I don't believe the Robert Lindsay that arrived on the Scindian is the same Robert Lindsay who married Margaret Farrell. The Robert Lindsay on the Scindian was a pensioner guard and he was accompanied by his wife Julia Reilly and their 2 year old daughter. They went on to have more children in Western Australia and he continued to live in WA unlike this Robert who lived in Broken Hill. It is unclear where and when this Robert Lindsay arrived in Australia but in 1860 he was in Victoria and marrying the widow Margaret Farrell (nee Watson) https://freotopia.org/people/johnsrichard.html
