Iwan and Maria were typical hardworking Ukrainians displaced from their homeland of Ukraine after World War II. They lived in Middleton, England for 20 years before immigrating to Australia where they realised their 'Australian Dream' of a better way of life for their 3 children Irene, Katryna and Jaroslav.
