Arriving from Scotland, G Lawson granted land 3 miles north of Lake Grace July 1911. They called property King Edward Farm (still called this today). Margaret Lawson was first pioneer Lady in District. Daughters Mabel and Gertie first white children. G Lawson was the foundation president of Lake Grace Co-op. 1920 moved to Albany. During 1930 depression bought property in Katanning.
