I first arrived in Fremantle in April 1945 in the British Navy, on board HMS Adamant. I married Carmel D'Arcy on 25 August 1945 and left for UK on HMS Maidstone in October. Carmel came to UK in Sept 1946 with our first daughter Joan just 10 weeks old. We have 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. We have lived in Fremantle over 55 years.
