Piotr and Lidia were originally destined for Sydney, but the ship (their second of the journey) was disembarked in Fremantle. Their son, Chris was conceived en-route and born in Three Springs. They then hand-built their family home in Yokine. Their second son Michael was born in 1959. They have five grandchildren Simon (1981), Laura (1983), Matthew (1998), Ella (2001) and Millie (2003).
