Displaced from Latvia by WWII. Arrived in WA 1948. Allocated work with Bunnings Timber Company (Wundowie, Tullis, Tone Rivermill and Dwellingup). Married Erika Kalnins whom he had met in a German DP Camp following her arrival in WA in 1948. Children: Inese and Ivars.
