Emigrated from Germany. Arrived Fremantle & transferred to Northam Holden Camp for 18mths. Part of migrant workforce in construction of Mundaring Weir/Wellington Dam. Moved to Swan View Camp, living in tents for 18 mths near railway. Built own home in Bellevue. 2001 recognition from Polish Consulate General for service to Bellevue Polish Community.
