Arrived in Narrogin with twin daughters, 11 months old. Stayed in a tent 6 months - no floor, just dirt. Arrived with 10 shillings in pocket. Both aged 19 when WWII broke out in Yugoslavia. Joka Kesic was shot in chest (ricochet bullet) but survived and carried bullet 14 years until surgeon finally found it after three major surgeries.
