Josephine is the third of four children of Dr Robert and Mrs Nora Armine Kershaw (nee McCutcheon). While working in London, met geologist Edmond Kopsen and emigrated to join him, married 9 March 1979 and had children, George Adrian Kershaw Kopsen, Heather Jane Kopsen and Hugh Patrick Kershaw Kopsen.
