Read their story

He married Annie Poole at St Mary's Perth 02/10/1878 and they had 9 children. He was farming when he was granted 50 acres of timbered land on which now stands Riverton Forum and surrounding businesses and residential areas. He cut timber to fuel steam boats plying the Canning and Swan Rivers, and eventually bought one of the steam-boats, which proved to be unreliable. He was involved in brick making from clay found on land between his and the Canning River. Many of his brothers and cousins also migrated to W.A.
