Susan worked for 3 years before travelling overseas in Europe and New Zealand on a working holiday. She returned to Australia in 1963 and married William (Bill) Stephen Price in 1967. They lived on Bill's family farm at Jitarning, rearing two daughters until retiring to Albany in 1986.
