Louisa Joyce (Betsy?) daughter of William Joyce - carpenter (quote Solomon Cook & Louisa Burgess' marriage cert. nee Joyce). She was a wonderful woman who reared 3 families. First 1 son, William Deacon; then 4 Burgesses, thirdly 3 Cooks. (quote - publication Solomon Cook 1813-1871 by Greta Kuchling.) Early Days - Royal WA Hist. Soc. Vol.9 pt 3 1985 (by Greta Kuchling). There is now a footpath plaque honouring Solomon Cook at Murray St west of the Myers entrance and a plaque at East Perth Cemetery.
