Sybe, 16, first worked at Cardup brickworks. Completed matriculation at Kent Street SHS in 1955 and studied at UWA. Began teaching in 1958 Science and Maths. Lectured at Teachers College and Edith Cowan University. Completed 3 degrees, a Masters and PhD, retired as Associate Professor.
