Betty and children, Beryl and Emlyn, arrived as evacuees having left Singapore ahead of Japaneses occupation. Husband, Capt Owen G. Jones R.N.R. was recovering in military hospital in Colombo,Ceylon from gunshot wounds sustained on active service.
