Read their story

They were married in Poland in 1933. Alojzy was a wheelwright and Anna a hairdresser. They had two children, Julius and Irena. They sailed in a ship Anna Salem bound for Melbourne which broke down near the Suez Canal. The replacement ship took the migrants to Fremantle. Alojzy worked as a carpenter until his death.
