Martha & Christine Jenkins arrived in Australia to join the rest of the family, Walter and Peter, who had migrated to Australia in April 1951, to find work and a home. This was to make life easier for us and to save us from living in a migrant hostel.

  • Hi Christine, Many, Many years since we were last in contact. Saw this site and thought I would touch base to see what you are up to these days. I saw Peter and Glenda about 50 years ago, but have not been in touch with them since. I retired 13 years ago and was full-time carer for my wife until she passed away in December, 2021. Currently I am living with my daughter and son. My eldest son, wife and their family (7 children) live in Wagga Wagga. Anyway that's an abridged story. If you get this, feel free to respond, or not. Best regards. Ken McDowell
