Arthur Jeffrey was born in England in the subdistrict of Derby, County of Derby on 23/07/1886. He died in Australia on the 20/09/1968 at the age of 82 years. He joined the British Army on the 29/11/1905 & was placed on the Army Reserve & given a Certificate of Identity of Army Reserve, permitting him to live in a British Colony or Protectorate on the 03/12/1912 . His Army pay book & three other documents show he departed Australia possibly from Albany on TSS MILITIADES to rejoin his calvary regiment in England at the start of the 1914 Great War. Arthur was repatriated to Australia on SS ANCHISES on 28/02/1919.
