Edward & Mary Celia Thornton married in Castlebar, Ireland 1825, son James born at sea. Children born in colony - Catherine, Edward, Madachi John, Richard, Michael. A son in employ of Bishop Salvado was lost in bush 1847 for 3 days, 1852 family left for eastern states.

  • I have been researching the Jeffersfamily. I have discovered one of the original sons John settled in SA at Narracoorte, another son Richard went to QLD. The remainder of the family settled in Victoria.The eldest son James was my great grandfather.
