Read their story

Maria Janczewski together with her children, Irena, Leon and Ludwiga, and her nephew, Marian were deported to Siberia in February 1940. Marian died there. The Janczewski Family was freed under 'Amnesty' in July 1941 and journeyed via Iran, India and Africa to settle permanently in Australia in 1950.
